Khirsu: - a beautiful place in Uttarakhand Hills


Khirsu is a beautiful place within the amazing forest of Oaks, Pine and rhododendron. And surrounded by snow capped Himalayas and its peaks. Khirsu is situated in the Pauri Garhwal Districts of Uttarakhand state located at the altitude of 1700 mts above from the sea level. It’s a place like in the fairy tales and myths. It is an amazing destination of Garhwal region. You can see here many of snow capped Himalayan peaks and if you count them in day time then its counting are reaching to more than 250 peaks. It is the nice place to visitors and tourist and nice destination for spending your holidays. It is away from daily busy market life, crowd area. So we can say it is peaceful destination for holidays. The place makes you closer with natural beauties.

Ghandiyal Devta Temple: - The Ghandiyal Devta temple is very ancient temple in Khirsu which is one of the major attractions in the Khirsu.

Jwala Devi Temple: - Jwala Devi temple is well known temple in Uttarakhand and it is very holiest temple in Khirsu, also a big festival is held every year in this temple.

Pauri town: - Pauri town is situated 19 km far from Khirsu; you can take any household items from there. Pauri is also a district of Uttarakhand.

Best time to Visit: - You can visit Khirsu any time in the Year but the best time to visit here it May to Oct.

By Trains: - The Nearest railway station is Kotdwar Railway station, Distance from Khirsu is127 kms.
By Air: - The Nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun, and distance from Khirsu is 174 kms.
