Surkanda Devi Temple Uttarakhand

Maa Surkanda Devi temple is a holiest temple situated in the lap of nature at the altitude of 2750 mts above from the sea level. The peak is name is also Surkanda peak where the temple is situated. The Place is come under the Tehri Garhwal. It is about 8 kms far from the beautiful valley Dhanolti and lies between Chamba Dhanolti motor Roads. This temple is mostly dedicated to Maa Sati, the wife of Hindu’s god Lord Shiva. You can reach their by Mussoorie- Chamba Motor Roads and at the place Kaldukhal you have to trek 1.5 kms distance after that you will reach their. There are many legends behind the temple which was about the Lord Shiva and Maa Sati. Every year many of people from India and abroad are come to visit this temple. And it is also situated in the peaceful valley of Uttarakhand Himalayas. You can feel awesome feeling to visit their because of the natural beauty and the place of Devbhoomi. It will give you a beautiful view of many cities Dehradun, Chandrabadni, Chakrata and others. You can see there the forest of Oaks, Rhododendrons, and others which offer a peaceful rest in the foot of Himalayas.
