Haridwar is situated in the bank of holy river “Ganga”. Meaning of Haridwar is “Hari” Means Lord Vishnu & Lord Shiva (God of Hindu Religion) and “Dwar” Means gate so simply we can say it Gate to the God. Haridwar is one of the holiest and sacred cities in India. Haridwar is also one of the four venues for the “Kumbh Mela” (The Biggest holy fair in India) Held in every twelve years. There are many beautiful places in Haridwar and also there are many oldest temples in Haridwar.
Haridwar is also stands as the gateway to four most holiest pilgrimage of Uttarakhand that‘s are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamnotri. Haridwar is one of the places where Ganga River first touches the plains from mountain and hills.
The most holiest places in Haridwar is Har-Ki-Pauri, Where all the tourist, pilgrims take a holy dip in Ganga river and by mythology if you take a holy dip in river Ganga then the Holy river clean or wash your all evils.
In the evening you can visit the Ganga Aarti which is looking very beautiful by many diya’s and flowers with its awesome reflection in the river.

Mansa Devi temple: - The temple of God Maa Mansa Devi situated in a hill of Neel Parvat. You can easily visit it by Ropeways or Cable Cars.
Chandi Devi Temple: - The temple of God Maa Chandi Devi situated also in a Hill. You can visit it by ropeways or Cable Cars.
